1: Drum brake
Drum brake is one of the earliest brake systems used in vehicles. The so-called "drum" is the brake drum, which is installed on the wheels and rotates with the wheels. The brake drum is equipped with brake pads. When braking, the brake piston will push the brake pads outward to produce friction with the brake drum, so as to achieve the braking effect. Drum brake is simple in structure and low in manufacturing cost. It is mostly used in rear wheels of vehicles.
2: disc brake
Disc brake is the most widely used brake system in vehicles nowadays. The brake disc rotates with the wheel. When braking, the piston of the brake caliper will push the brake pad to clamp the brake disc and produce friction to achieve the braking effect. Compared with drum brake, the greatest advantage of disc brake is good heat dissipation, rapid response, average braking force, good drainage, etc. Because the whole brake mechanism is exposed, more conducive to heat dissipation.
3: Ventilation disc brake
Nowadays most vehicles use front ventilated rear disc brakes. Because most of these vehicles have large self-weight and fast acceleration, they need better braking effect, shorter braking distance and better drainage heat dissipation effect. Ventilation disc brake, there are many holes in the brake disc, air flow will shuttle in these holes during driving, cooling and drainage effect is good.
At the same time, compared with the solid disc, the ventilating disc is lighter in weight, reduces the inertia when rotating, and improves the acceleration and braking performance of the vehicle.
4: disc drum brake
The disc drum brake is used in the rear wheel of the vehicle, the brake disc is used in the brake of the vehicle, the brake drum is used in the parking of the vehicle, which reduces the pressure of the caliper of the brake disc, and can be braked in both directions in emergency.
